Tennis Coaching Information
Rothbury Tennis Club is very lucky to have LTA licensed Head Coach Phil Barron working at the club.
Phil has over 13yrs coaching experience, working with all the different levels of club players, county players and national juniors. Phil currently works with 12 Northumberland Academy players and 3 nationally identified juniors.
Rothbury Monday night coaching is a terrific success with lots of new players now attending and developing their tennis skills.
Phil has recruited his assistant level 2 coach Joe Race coach from CCTP to help develop tennis opportunities for Rothbury players by running additional Saturday coaching sessions starting after Easter. Joe has over 4 yrs coaching experience and comes highly recommended by Phil.
STARTING MONDAY 16 April - 7 week Tennis Coaching Course (for both members & non-members)
This course will cover all aspects of your game from improving your technique to increasing your tactical knowledge + tips and fun games to practice your skills.
Rackets can be provided so no excuses! Come along and join in. It's great, friendly fun for all ages and abilities. Any sessions lost due to poor weather will be credited back to you on the next course
Mondays, starting 16 April for 7 weeks
Mini Tennis- 5yrs-8yrs – 4pm-5pm
Juniors Tennis - 9yrs – 12yrs - 5pm-6pm
Teen Tennis – 13yrs + 6pm-7pm
Seniors Tennis – 16yrs + 7pm-8pm
Costs
Junior Member = £24.50
Junior Non-member = £31.50
Senior Member = £28
Senior Non-member = £35

LOST SESSIONS
Unfortunately the last coaching course was severely affected by poor weather with 3 sessions being cancelled. If you paid for the last course in full, then you have 3 credits on the course above, if you pay for that course in full.
Can we remind players to pay their coaching fees in full (if possible) at their first coaching session. This not only speeds up each coaching session, as the need to take fees each week is reduced. It also adds to the quality of the coaching programme as your coach can plan sessions based on the number of players booked/paid up.
